Anti-Hunger Day on the Hill

February 25 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Join us Tuesday, February 25, 8:00am-12:00pm at the Iowa State Capitol, as we advocate for policies that would reduce hunger and food insecurity in our state.

DMARC Breakfast Advocacy Training
First, DMARC will be hosting a breakfast advocacy training from 8:15-9:45am at the Iowa State Capitol in Room G19 on the Ground Floor. There, you will learn about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), DMARC’s advocacy agenda for 2020, and information and advice on how to be an effective advocate with your elected officials.

IFBA’s Anti-Hunger Day on the Hill
Then, we will be participating in the Anti-Hunger Day on the Hill hosted by the Iowa Food Bank Association from 10:00am-12:00pm and advocating with our elected officials.

We know that we cannot solve hunger and food insecurity on our own. It will take all of us working together to end food insecurity in Iowa.
