Remembering Hiroshima-Nagasaki: Choosing a Future of Peace

Please join Catholic Peace Ministry for the commemoration of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. This year’s theme is “Choosing a Future of Peace” with Dr. Maureen McCue from Physicians for Social Responsibility as the speaker. It will be Friday, August 9 at 7 pm at the Japanese Bell south of the State Capitol. Parking is available in the parking lot east of the Iowa Supreme Court Building on Court Ave. Please bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating and flowers for laying at the bell. In case of rain, we will meet at Wesley United Methodist Church, 800 E. 12th St., Des Moines.
